A collective effort for social good.

We’re a Minnesota based non-profit organization with a mission to help those in need, one good deed at a time.

Giving back during this difficult time

As we are all effected by the severity of COVID-19, we took this opportunity to give back. The need for our mask purchase began after a few of our direct families members of our employees were struggling to obtain face masks, the N95 version in particular. The masks were needed for various reasons depending on health conditions or job requirements, but ultimately the underlying question became how can we help all of our loves ones feel protected and safe. Masks were what we could help with and Walker Charities helped bring this idea into a reality.

Ronald McDonald’s house support

The Walker Charities team makes a yearly trip to the Ronald McDonald House in Children’s Minneapolis, to serve delicious home cooked meals. This beautiful and spacious House is located on the third floor of the hospital and is the largest in-hospital facility in the Upper Midwest. Serving families with children receiving treatment in intensive care units, the House offers parents a place to rest and regroup just steps away from their child. Unique to this in-hospital program, there is no mileage requirement for families to access services at Ronald McDonald House.

Pediatric hospital partnership

Walker Charities (Formally ‘Pediatric Pad Foundation’ or ‘Pads for Peds’), is a 501C3 charitable organization that provides technology to be used by patients at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics all over the United States, bringing joy and diversion to young hospital patients facing acute medical care. Our goal is to donate to as many children’s hospitals nationally. Your generous support will definitely help get us to our goal quicker. Donate today!

363 Days food program

Once a year the Walker Charities team will gather in the Walker warehouse to make at least 1000 sandwiches for an amazing program started by Allan Law of Minneapolis. When he retired from teaching in 1999, Allan Law decided to expand his community outreach efforts. Due to the rapid growth in the number of people living below the poverty level, he began feeding the homeless and families in need on a daily basis and the 363 Days Food Program became the cornerstone of that work. As a result of an incredible outpouring of support, for the past 10 years the 363 Days Food Program has received and distributed an average of more than 600,000 donated sandwiches annually to the homeless and hungry!

Make it stand out.

Toys for Tots is one of the most popular charity organizations around the holidays – serving kids of all ages. In our part of Minnesota, the teenagers are often overlooked for this program. The Walker Charities team gathers every December and heads over to the local Walmart to shop specifically for teen boys and girls.
